Ian Gilkerson spent his childhood growing his entrepreneurial skills from his late father. Watching his father grow several businesses successfully Ian was fascinated by small business. Ian’s experience began at age 12 when he helped his father in the family orchards during harvest.
Ian left the family business to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. After his education Ian moved to the Seattle area to work for Dassault Systemes a Computer Aided Design Company. Using his technical education he consulted for Dassault working on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications. Ian left Dassault Systemes for another technical consulting company INCAT, a TATA Technologies company. At INCAT Ian used his PLM knowledge to consult for various clients such as Goodrich Aerostructures and Boeing.
Still residing in the greater Seattle area, Ian consults to various aerospace companies around the United States and continues his passion for all things technical and financial.
He and his brother have taken over the family businesses which include an orchard in Hood River Oregon, a retail produce market/nursery in Portland Oregon, 2 coffee shops in Portland Oregon and his father’s orchard accounting software company based out of Hood River, Oregon.
