I have been also following Gold over the past 6 months, and I am absolutely amazed. The price as gone from ~$600/oz to now almost $1000/oz! However, gold is not the only precious metal on the rise. Platinum has also done very well. I like to use Kitco as a resource for up to the minute prices. www.goldprice.org is also a nice resource for real time quotes and various news.
A recent interesting article from Seeking Alpha talks about the recent ‘gold rush’ that we have been having. Browse at will. I woud also watch metals closely the next coming weeks especially with the rumors of a Fed rate cut (also here). Inflation fears and the ‘credit crunch’ have helped drive the price of metals. I think that if another rate cut happens we will see inflation fears reflected in an increase in precious metal prices. ~Ian
